THE SEXY BACK PROJECT—SWEET-AND-SOUR SLOPPY JOES

I made a sweet-and-sour sloppy Joe with a cabbage salad because that’s how I felt at the time—sweet and sour. After failing at my first attempt to make sloppy Joes (sandwich #10), I got this version right, thanks to a recipe I adapted from Real Simple magazine. Feeling confident in my cooking, I also felt strong enough to go back to pole dancing class the next weekend, where I shimmied up the pole with a smile.
