Chapter Thirteen

I don’t remember a time when I have been more scared than I am right now. I know that there’s more to what happened last night than what Damien let on. There is something that he isn’t sharing, and right now that is fine. The closer it gets to my due date, the harder it is to hide how scared I am.

We are on lockdown for however long this takes which is probably the rest of my pregnancy and then some. I don’t know what all happens during a lockdown, but I’m pretty sure that I can figure it out.

It took me forever to fall asleep after I had talked to Damien last night. I kept going on and on in my head worrying about something happening to me. Could Demon really take me after I have the baby and do god- knows-what with me? I shudder just thinking about it.

This morning, I know that I have to go and search for Stacey. I already have a feeling that she isn’t too happy about being here. I don’t know why she always seems to give me a hard time when it comes to the MC club, but I hope that one day she will be able to tell me. So far, they have been nothing but good to me, so I won’t write them off.

I walk into the kitchen to grab my morning apple juice, and Stacey is in the kitchen with Torch who is sitting at the opposite end of the table glaring at her. Stacey is wearing a smug expression on her face.

“What’s going on, you two?” I ask in an annoyed tone. I really don’t want to deal with drama this morning.

“Your FRIEND here is a terrible person to share a bed with,” Torch says while he is still glaring at Stacey. I can’t help the amused expression that comes over my face. Oh, I know what kind of person Stacey is to share a bed with. I, for one, am glad that I don’t have to share with her while we stay here.

“Oh, I know this. I had the unfortunate luck of sharing with her once upon a time,” I tell him as I grab my juice from the fridge and sit down at the table with them.

“Oh, come on, I’m not that bad of a person to sleep with,” Stacey grumbles losing the smile on her face.

I nod my head eagerly. “You sure are. You gave me bruises when I slept with you!” I raise my voice with a smile on my face.

“I did not!” Stacey says narrowing her eyes at me.

“I fully believe that you did,” Torch grumbles as he rubs his side.

I can’t help but chuckle at the exaggeratedly painful look on his face. No way could Stacey hurt a big man like him.

“Believe who did what?” Damien comes in and asks. He looks at me with a soft expression, and grabs himself some coffee.

“Stacey is a terrible person to sleep with.
