Guisseppe (Joseph) Bossi came to the East Bolton area in 1872. His farm adjoined the farm of A. A. Buzzi, a friend of the family. Bossi never farmed his land, but he had an orchard and a vineyard. He leased out the rest of his farm. From all around, people came to the orchard to get fruit.
Robert Ramsey and his family came to the West Bolton community in 1875. The family farmed several grains. People from all around came to the farm to help thresh, and there were huge dinners held to feed the work crews. The farm has been mostly kept in the family since the beginning.
