Chapter Twelve

Riley had never been so helpless before.

Eren kept the lead short so he would closely follow despite his lack of sight and hearing. He knew they were outside in the city, but with total silence and nothing but darkness if he opened his eyes under the blindfold, he was completely dependent on the demon.

Besides that, Eren had replaced his usual leather collar with a training one. The tiny spikes weren’t as sharp as the ones when Thing collared him, but it was snug, and he could feel them all around. At the slightest disobedience, Eren could yank it and hurt him.

The little pricks were a constant reminder that he currently had no control over what was done to him.

He could just imagine what other demons thought when they saw the cock cage on him along with the decorative rope. At some point, the sun-warmed cobblestones became cooler, and he realized they must have gone inside. There hadn’t been any pause for Eren to open a door, so maybe they were in another Hall with the entrance left open. The air all around was cooler but still comfortable.

Eren paused and picked him up to sling him over his shoulder. Riley could tell they were going upstairs. Eren had carried him down at the tower since it was easier. At the top, he set Riley on his feet, turned him, undid the wrist cuffs, and turned him again.

The reason for the rope loops sticking out on Riley’s thighs made sense now. The right cuff was removed, and it must have been threaded through the loop before it was redone so his wrist was trapped by his right thigh. After his left was done, he was stuck with his arms at his sides and unable to use his hands.

Eren lifted one side of the blindfold so Riley’s left ear was uncovered. “You like being shocked, huh?”

Riley made a noise of assent through the gag.

“I won’t force this on you, but would you wear that gag and let it hurt you if I requested?" Eren’s voice was hungry as he rubbed a thumb along Riley’s jawline. "Others will see it.”
