Watering
Water is an essential part of life, both for us humans and for every living creature on this planet. In a natural setting, a tree that requires more water extends its roots deeper into the earth. This allows it to look for moisture underground. In a pot, there are no natural reserves of water for it, so you have to manually supply the container with moisture.
When it comes to bonsai, the amount of water you need to provide for it depends on the size of the tree. Even if your area receives sufficient rain and you place the bonsai outdoors, it does not mean that you can stop watering the plant entirely.
If you have a single bonsai, then you can use watering cans for the soil and sprayers for the leaves, as mentioned earlier. However, if you are growing multiple bonsai, then using a water can is not going to be the easiest method to water all the plants. It might take you a really long time. There are two options. The first is that you concentrate on one bonsai. Learn to understand how to train and raise one bonsai first. If you are growing multiple bonsai, you can use a sprinkler system. Your sprinkler device should not be placed on the ground but above the pots. This way, every time you water the plants, you are stimulating rainfall. Additionally, by using sprinklers, you are both providing water to the soil and misting the leaves.
Most people have trouble figuring out a proper watering schedule. The general rule of thumb is that you should ensure the compost is moist. Do not allow the soil to become dry and prevent it from becoming waterlogged. You should aim to water frequently, but in small quantities.
