Hat Pin Rose

In past times, a lady would take a length of fine ribbon and tie it to a hat pin attached to her hat. She would then wrap the ribbon around the pin to create a stylized flower to wear for the day. Today these Hat Pin Roses are stitched to crinoline. Taffeta works best for this flower, but you can also use velvet, satin and grosgrain.
