Rnd 3: Sc2tog 2 times, sc 2 in next 4 sts, sc2tog 2 times. (12 sts)
Rnd 4: Hdc 2 in next 2 sts, sc 2 in next st; in grey, sc 2 in next st; in pink, sc 4; in grey, sc 2 in next st; in pink, sc 2 in next st, hdc 2 in next 2 sts. (20 sts)

Fasten off yarn, leaving a long tail for sewing.
*The “hdc 2s” from Rnds 1 and 2 will become the lower front edge of the muzzle shaping. PM in middle of muzzle shaping if desired.
Stuff muzzle and head. If embroidering the nose, see pg 18. If using a 12mm plastic safety nose, attach nose to the front of the muzzle, one rnd above the 4-st AR, with the muzzle shaping pointing down. Position 10mm safety eyes on the sides of the head behind the muzzle.
Remove stuffing, attach the safety eye and nose backings, and then restuff head. Close hole in the back of the head. With black yarn, add a lip cleft to the muzzle, below the nose (pg 19).
