We’d have a target range behind Graceland. When I was with the sheriff’s department, I’d take him down to the police range with Thompson sub-machine guns [the ‘tommy gun’ of World War Two fame, to say nothing of Al Capone, the Valentine’s Day Massacre and all that]. He would come down there and have a ball – like a kid in the candy store. He loved it. The SWAT team would show up and he got to shoot everything.
