“This damage has been caused by one of Ayana’s lightning strikes,” Kimisi said aloud. “She said she used storm magic to scatter the Iron Animals.” Kimisi’s voice became low. “And that volcano, I recognize it. It’s famous throughout Ulfrika but has been extinct for centuries. Now it has been reawakened. Only the Iron Leopard and its power of fire could do that. You see, each Iron Animal can control a different element.” She swiped her gauntlet to bring up a map and zoomed in. “This means we must go to Ekpani, where Kundi won his first battle against Ikala’s army.”

“Great. I just hope Ikala is just an army of one and we get there before him,” Jarell replied. “Let’s go.”
