“Okay… fine,” the other Titans grumbled and reluctantly agreed.

“Great,” said Robin. “We’ll start where all great adventures start.…”

Robin led the Titans to the edge of the forest, and then he pointed his wooden staff dramatically toward a small brick building in an advanced state of disrepair. The wooden beams holding up the roof were filled with termite holes, and a smell of rancid cooking oil wafted from the cracked windows. A sign outside the building advertised it as the INN OF THE BULLIED BONES.

Cyborg frowned and said, “What kind of great adventure starts at a greasy motel?”

“Not at all,” corrected Robin as he pushed open the decaying wooden door and led the Titans into the building. “It’s a charming inn!”

The Titans blinked as they beheld the interior of the inn. The walls of the large single room were decorated with skulls and other bones; only a few sputtering candles illuminated the gloom. Sitting at wooden tables were a half dozen goblins, trolls, and orcs.

“Good morrow, my lords and gentlefolk,” Robin said with a bow.

The creatures in the inn glared at him. One of the orcs burped.

At the end of the room, a green goblin innkeeper stood behind a counter. He scowled and spat on a cracked goblet to clean it.
