Nun

The Nun is the fourteenth letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It carries a numerical value of fifty. The word is spelled Nun, Vav, Nun . In Aramaic it means fish. In the Hebrew it has the idea of sprouting, spreading, shinning . We see the word Nun appearing in the Old Testament in the phrase or Son of Nun. Joshua was the son of Nun. The word is usually translated as one who endures or continues . 249 Three times we see this used in the story of Joshua. 250 The son of Nun was Joshua who goes into the land and causes the children of Israel to inherit it. The father, Nun, is simply the emergence , he does not go into the promised land. It takes time for the emergence to produce something that is seeable. The Nun reminds us that we are often in a time of emergence and must wait for that which is seeable to appear.

If you combine the words in Hebrew into one word you will have which is the word to build, a structure or a construction. It is the construction of a building. A construction site is a place where a structure is being erected and you are waiting for it to appear, the structure is in a state of emergence. 251
