After a long day, Pearce and Koda retired to the sofa with one of the special treats they had brought on their last food shopping trip. “Mmm!” Koda wiggled in excitement as his Papa ripped the film lid from his circular carton of ice cream. “Here buddy.” He smiled, handing over the frozen treat and a spoon, before eagerly ripping at his own. As the two relaxed back on the sofa side by side, Koda couldn’t help but curiously peer over at his parents portion and the strangely familiar coloured chunks lodged in the frozen cream. “Wha’s ‘hat?” He pointed, wide eyed. “Hm? Oh, that’s cookie dough.” Pearce mumbled, fighting off the budding brain freeze. Koda’s eyes widened, like a cat spying it’s prey. “Want to try some?” Pearce chuckled, already knowing he had lost his ice cream. “Here let’s swap.”

Fresh from his shower, Connor danced down the stairs, slowing as he remembered his accident and rounded the corner to the livingroom. The sight of his two boys sat identically positioned next to each other on the sofa was far cuter than he expected. Koda had slouched back, imitating the way Pearce was sat and rested his ice cream tub on his tummy, just as his Papa always did. “Ish got cook’esh!” He spluttered with his mouthful, waving his spoon at the nearly empty little tub. Pearce then glanced up at his stunning handsome husband and gave him a faux pout. “I don’t think we’ll be getting any.” Once Koda’s tub was empty, Connor smirked at the smiley little as he licked his lips. “Alright mister, that was a lot of sugar, we need to brush your teeth properly before bed.” The blond smiled, spotting Koda already rubbing his eyes. “Papa has to too.” He cheeped pointing to his unsuspecting Papa, who widened his eyes and spun to look at him. “Papa will, but you’re first little one.” Connor replied with a chuckle.

Sat on the edge of the bath, Connor oversaw Koda as he brushed back and forth up and down with his cute dinosaur toothbrush, scrubbing his teeth with the minty paste before showing off his pearly whites. “Very good. I already mixed up some mouthwash for you little one.” Leaning forward, Connor lifted the cup filled with the diluted minty green wash and handed it to his yawning boy, brushing his fingers through his flippy hair. “One big rinse and we can read you a story hm?”
