11_ Prepare the boards for the sitting surface and backrest. Break out your handsaw, circular saw, or table saw and cut the boards to size. The sitting surface should be 17" × 16" (43 × 40.5 cm), and the back rest 7" × 16" (18 × 40.5 cm). If you were lucky enough to have the hardware store cut your boards to size for you, you can skip this step!

12_ With the boards cut, we need to attach them to the chair frame. If the frame still seems a bit wobbly, this step should resolve it. Flip the chair forward, and place the sitting surface on top of the 18" (45.5 cm) pipes. Center it, then use the drill, screws, and one-hole straps to attach the board to the pipe, as shown.
