To define the collector voltage and current waveforms, consider the electrical behavior of a homogeneous lossless quarterwave transmission line connected to the dc voltage supply with RF grounding [10]. In this case, the voltage v(t, x) in any cross section of such a transmission line can be represented as a sum of the incident voltage vinc(ωt – 2πx/λ) and the reflected voltage vrefl(ωt +2πx/λ), generally with an arbitrary waveform.
