CHAPTER 6
KLAUS
We pull up outside Johnsonâs Tree Farm, family trees for four generations. The scumbag with the mirror taped to his shoes sits next to me with an obvious erection, and it takes all my self-control not to stab him in the dick right here for using that mirror to look up Biancaâs skirt. I donât because heâs not the only one learning a lesson tonight.
Their usual display and Christmas fair are all closed up, the last employee leaving promptly at eight thirty. The big wooden sign glows with the lights beneath it, and I slow down as I turn in and up the long, winding drive. Iâve been coming here since I was a kid, and so has Bianca.
I watch it on her face as she recognizes where we are, and I wonder if she remembers meeting me here all those years ago. I watch her face in the mirror. She doesnât. I shouldnât be surprised, but I am angry.
Old man Johnson hasnât been staying on the farm since heâs been seeing the dairy farming widow two houses down, and Iâve made use of the farm and his house when I need to. Itâs one of the pros of not being realâsomeone without an identity, but also many. Iâm whoever I need to be and have been ever since I realized I could never play a part in normal society.
I pull the car to a stop deep into the parking area where there isnât any chance of us being seen from the road. Biancaâs breathing hard in the back, ratcheting up my tension and soothing the part of me that demands retribution. How dare she beg me not to hurt the children when I was doing everything I could to impress her? To prove to her how good I could be with them, how worthy I am. Iâd never hurt children. Theyâre honest, chaotic, and fun.
âAre you excited, Bianca?â
âBianca, thatâs a pretty name.â The passenger creep makes a sound close to a purr. I donât even have a cunt, and it closes up. I canât imagine how my Snowflake feels. Hopefully like questioning me in any capacity is a mistake.
âFuck you, Klaus.â
âKlaus, huh? Funny name for Santa. Donât worry, Sugar Cookie, weâre going to fuck you plenty.â Did he just nickname her?
That was a poor choice.
I crack open my door but donât bother to correct his misapprehension. Heâll figure out he wonât be touching her soon enough. A little sob from Bianca, an excited laugh of anticipation from the creep beside me. He thinks weâre here to rape her. At least thatâs what I told him at the mall to get him to accompany us. He fucking agreed and shook my hand over it like a sick, greedy asshole with barely two sentences spoken.
I open her door. She scrambles away, kicking to escape. I take a couple of blows to my chest as I grab her by the upper arm and yank her out and onto her feet. Iâm not angry with her for fighting.
