Joshua quirked his mouth up in that little half smile

Patrick found so endearing. “Ditto.”

Patrick knew there was no point in resisting. He’d been

hooked long ago, and he wanted nothing more than to spend

the day making love to Joshua. Everything was as it should

be. So why did he keep fighting it? As Joshua lay back and

pulled Patrick down on top of him, Patrick stopped fighting.

He allowed Joshua to guide their lovemaking—nothing

too athletic, despite Joshua’s earlier insistence on being

“fucked into oblivion.” He was still weak, even though he

didn’t want to admit it. But there was nothing lacking in his

kisses and soft caresses. It soon became apparent to Patrick

that this was more than just sex, for both of them. Despite

his uncertainty, once their bodies came together, there was

no awkwardness; no discomfort. Instead, there was an

overwhelming feeling of familiarity, as if their bodies knew

that they belonged together.

“I want you inside of me,” Joshua whispered in Patrick’s

ear, and he picked up a small bottle of K-Y that he’d put by

the side of the futon.

Patrick took it from him without a word and applied it to

his fingers. Then he took his time exploring the warm, soft

place between Joshua’s legs while they continued to kiss.

When his finger at last entered Joshua, the young man

grunted into Patrick’s mouth, and the sound sent a thrill of

arousal shooting through Patrick’s throbbing shaft. He

wanted to ram the length of it into Joshua right then and

there, but he fought to control himself, to wait until Joshua

was ready for him. But the wait was agony.

At long last, after that tight entrance had expanded to

allow two fingers, and then three, it was Joshua who begged

Patrick, “Put it inside me. I’m ready.”
