In figure 7.1 and figure 7.3, the two cycles are shown on different scales but with corresponding energies to enable finding analogies between them. What happened during Day One and Day Two that will affect the future course of the world? The Galactic Underworld will develop very different phenomena, often in direct contradiction to those developed by the lower Planetary Underworld—such as the disappearance of national borders, divinely guided anarchy, and the strengthening of the East. Nonetheless, it will develop these phenomena by the same basic wave movement of thirteen energies as the Planetary Underworld.

The other example is Winston Churchill, who talked about “Hitler and his Huns” in his radio speeches during World War II. The interesting parallel here is that when the Fifth Night (ruled by Tezcatlipoca, lord of darkness) of the National Underworld (434–829 C.E.) began, the Huns invaded central Europe. Later, when the Fifth Night (1932–1952 C.E.) of the Planetary Underworld began, Hitler became a dictator in the same region. In the National Underworld the rule of the lord of darkness (Night Five) generated the Dark Ages, whereas in the Planetary Underworld it generated the Great Depression, Nazism, Stalinism, the Holocaust, World War II, the Korean War, and the atomic and hydrogen bombs. Although the phenomena the two Underworlds carried had different characters, it seems clear that the period 1932–1952 was by far the darkest in modern history (corresponding to the Dark Ages of the National Underworld). We thus have reason to expect that Night Five in the Galactic Underworld, essentially the Gregorian year 2008, will turn out to be a very difficult time.

Although the destruction taking place during the Fifth Night serves to create the space for the new flower to blossom at the beginning of the Sixth Day, the rule of Tezcatlipoca in the Galactic Underworld is a period for which it would seem wise to be prepared. Just looking at the Galactic Underworld from the perspective of economics, we can expect that increasingly the Nights will be downturns, while the Days may be times when the “new economy” is slightly more prosperous. The beginning of the Fifth Night, as with the collapse of the Roman economy in the National Underworld and the Great Depression in the Planetary Underworld, will be a major downturn. This will mean not only a major downturn in the capitalist economy, as was the case already in the Second Night of the Galactic Underworld, but more like a total collapse of the international monetary system and the beginning of the end of quantitative abstraction of values mediated by the left brain (see appendix A).
