Faithful: “God grant us strength in this tribulation,

Deliver us from evil, lead us not into temptation,

And fix our eyes on Jesus, our King and our salvation!”

Evangelist: “Then press on, dear pilgrims. Be off on your way!

I will now bow my head and shall earnestly pray

That God may be with you and keep you from sin

In there at the Fair, which you nearly are in.”
