Cara: When my youngest daughter was only a few months old, I had plans to go on a couple’s trip to Mexico. I had gigantic boobs, a swollen tummy, and I was dealing with some major postpartum body blues. I told Christina that I was thinking about bailing on the trip, and she reminded me that I really needed this time to get away and be with my husband. And then, even though she also had her hands full with her own infant at the time, she went through her closet and packed at least ten outfits—cover-ups, bathing suits, daytime and nighttime clothes, hats, and bags and dropped off a neatly packed suitcase at my house. I’m pretty sure there were even books in there for me to read. I mean, who does that?! It turns out, a really great friend does.
