Best known for its seasonal mushroom ice cream, this quirky ice cream shop has been hitting Fort Bragg’s sweet spot since 2000. The infamous funghi flavor isn’t as disgusting as one might imagine; the mushrooms in question are candy caps, and you’d be hard-pressed to distinguish it from maple ice cream in a blind taste test. The shop’s other unique flavors include root beer float, chai, huckleberry, ginger, and pear sorbet, but picky eaters don’t need to worry—the usual favorites also make the cut. Dairy is sourced from Sonoma County cows, and local ingredients are used whenever possible. There’s plenty of seating at the retro chairs and tables, or take your cone, cup, or sundae to go and window shop along Fort Bragg’s main drag.
