Here’s how: Let us say your three favorite knowledges are writing, graphic design, and teaching. If you possibly can, use all three areas of expertise, not just one. So put those three favorite knowledges on a series of overlapping circles, as shown. Next, to figure out how to combine these three, imagine that each circle is a person; in this case, writer, graphic designer, and teacher.

You can start by identifying anyone you know who already works in these fields. (You can also read about each of these fields on the internet.) When you meet with people who work in one of these fields, ask them what careers they think could combine those three skills.
