1 Lie on your back, bend your knees and put your feet hip-width apart on the floor. Your knees should point toward the ceiling and your arms should rest by your sides.

Warm up by doing the postures in Chapter 2 before you try this pose. Building a Bridge takes a lot of strength and concentration, so don’t worry if it you can’t do it immediately. An easier version of the pose is Dynamic Easy Bridge on page 36.

2 Put your hands under your shoulders so that your fingers point down toward your feet. Keep your arms and legs parallel – don’t let your elbows or your knees splay out to the sides.
