Figure 32—Death

Julius Caesar had clear indications of his imminent death. The night before he was assassinated he was asked how he would like to die. His reply was, ‘Suddenly’. His wife had a warning dream and suggested he should stay at home that day and a note was sent to him, telling of danger. He ignored all the omens and was murdered. This incident indicates that the moment of death is not absolutely preordained. Caesar could have avoided it. An astrologer of a later period saw certain death in his own chart but it turned out that it was a way of living that came to an end, not his life. Pluto, the planet of death, is also that of rebirth. It all depends upon the level involved. Evolved individuals are not subject to general laws. (Caesar’s Death, 17th century engraving).
