Davy

It wasn't her shooting ability that made me laugh, it was her attitude. Unlike the others, I know things about her that tip the scales in her favor. Her father was a cop and if I were the dad of a girl as hot as her, I would have taught her how to shoot.

June looks in a bad shape, just like the rest of us. Her hair is disheveled and tangled, her legs are dirty, and her outfit looks more like a pajama than anything else.

Yet, when she stands in front of me, memories of our fuck come flooding back. I know her curves, the softness of her skin, and her womanly scent. Unlike her, I am not delicate, I do not need cutlery to eat or a plate. No matter the conditions we're in, I adapt.

Her position is perfect, her arms well-extended, and her hand doesn't tremble. She closes one eye and shoots, the bullet shatters a glass bottle. I whistle and sink my hands into my pockets.

"Again, without aiming this time," I tell her.

She turns to smile at me, her pretty arrogant mouth provokes me. Her lips deserve a nibble, just to calm her down a bit.

She doesn't take her eyes off me and announces:

"The can."

Without looking, she shoots and the bullet hits the can in question.

The others gather around, clapping.

"Damn, Davy, you found someone on your level!" Cole says.

I let them belittle me, it's deserved and June clearly knows what she's doing.

"Lucky shot," I say, sniffing to provoke her.

"Really?" she says, laughing. "Nothing to do with luck."

"Okay," Parker says, "let's make things more challenging."

He runs into the house and comes back with two pieces of fabric. He blindfolds June and me, then makes us spin around. We took the time to see all the targets. Impossible? Not for me.

"Here it is," he announces. "All you have to do is shoot something. Two winning rounds. Ladies first."

I wait as June takes her shot and hits her target. She's talented, really talented... I raise my gun and hold my breath. I take the shot and wait for the result.

"Hit!" says Cole, laughing.

If I counted correctly, there are still two glass bottles, two cans, and a metal barrel left.

I try again, focusing hard, but miss this time. I take off my blindfold and notice that she won the challenge.

"Haha!" she exclaims, jumping up and smiling.

I make a face and take the gun from her hands before heading off with Cole to put the guns away.

"Why did you let her win?" he asks me when we get back.

"I lost, it happens."

He chuckles, knowing that I never miss. Letting June think she had the upper hand was my way of boosting her confidence. Since I've known her, I've seen that she undervalues herself. She constantly questions herself to the point where she wants to quit her job at the prison. She doesn't know that I'm aware. How do I know? Because nothing escapes me. Try to hide who you are, try to suppress your fears, and I'll dive right in.
